Teatown's Environmental Leaders Learning Alliance (ELLA) Wins Conservation Achievement Award
Teatown is pleased to report that its Environmental Leaders Learning Alliance (ELLA) program is a recipient of the first-annual Conservation Achievement Awards from the Westchester County Soil and Water Conservation District.

ELLA is a network for members of town and village Conservation Advisory Councils, Open Space Committees, and Planning Boards from throughout the lower Hudson Valley.  Currently, ELLA members represent 31 local communities, whose members participate in workshops and share lessons learned to help their communities make sustainable land use decisions.  Teatown serves as the convener and administrator of ELLA.  With its unique team-learning approach, ELLA aims to positively influence environmental decisions in the Hudson Valley, and to become a model for other regional networks throughout New York.

On Dec 11th. 2014, Deputy County Executive Kevin Plunkett recognized ELLA for promoting the conservation, management and restoration of soil and water resources in Westchester County. Teatown is extremely grateful for Westchester County's support. We thank the Soil and Water Conservation District for recognizing ELLA with this award.
