Soros' Ex-Wife Ditches Impressive UES Townhouse For $31M | Bedford NY Real Estate

Susan Weber Soros, the ex-wife of billionaire businessman George Soros, has sold her palatial copper-clad townhouse at 116 East 70th Street. The Post reports that Weber Soros traded the property for $31 million, $8.5 million more than she paid for it in late 2012, in an off-market deal. Unfortunately, that means no new listing pictures, but available views inside the house were taken after its massive, four-year renovation between 2006 and 2010. The 6,000-plus-square-foot home has five bedrooms, four full and four half baths, two terraces, a 26-foot deep garden and a glass-domed breakfast room. Oh, and it also comes with the chance to rub shoulders with seminal Manhattanite (by way of Brooklyn) Woody Allen, who lives next door at 118.

So far this year, Zillow has been king of the hill, having bumped Yahoo Real Estate from the top spot in March.
