Hundreds Drive In for Annual Bedford N.Y. Car Show

A 1950s vibe permeated the parking lot at Fox Lane High School on Sunday for the 12th Annual Bedford Hills Lions Club car show. Oldies music played as spectators—close to 450 of them—checked out about 160 classic cars and hot rods.

"I've been getting compliments all day long, so I'm pretty sure everyone is enjoying the day," said John Santacroce, president of the Lions Club of Bedford Hills. He noted that the range of styles, makes and models was especially interesting this year.

After expenses, the funds raised by the $15 car entry fee and $3 spectator fee are allocated toward the many organizations the 71-year-old organization supports, including cub scout and boy scout troops 110, Guiding Eyes for the Blind, and grade school citizenship awards and scholarships, said event organizers.
