  Storm Response-Halloween Safety Concerns

Trees and utility poles are down across our Town, from North White Plains to Armonk to Banksville and the Eastern District. More than 3,100 homes remain without electric service.

Safety is the primary concern.  Trick-or-treaters and their families need to use special caution as downed wires can be hidden from view by snow, tree limbs, etc.  Do not go near any downed power line and call 911 to report it immediately.  If a power line should fall on a car while you are in it, stay inside the vehicle and wait for emergency personnel.

Con Edison is providing additional tree crews and line crews for our Town. We are anticipating these extra workers will be able to make a large step forward towards restoring power for a large number of customers.

Municipal Representatives from Con Edison are working here in the building 24 hours a day.

We have been told that dry ice will be delivered from Con Edison to Community Park later today. I will update you with an E-News as soon as the availability is confirmed.
