The persnickety zoning ordinance was implemented last spring. And then, apparently, Miami Shores Village employees went around telling people to dig up their vegetable bulbs: there would be no harvest. Ever again. A Shores resident forced to uproot a garden she had maintained for 17 years has sued the Village, while continuing to grow a bountiful variety of fruits, including pomegranates, papayas, blueberries, and pineapples.
