North Castle Council Race Heating Up - Barbara DiGiancinto speaks | ArmonkHomes

Elect Barbara DiGiacinto for North Castle Councilman
Dear Neighbor,

You may have received an email from a group calling themselves Informed Citizens 2013, making false claims and assumptions. Here are the simple facts: I do not own any commercial property in the Town of North Castle, and do not receive alimony from my estranged husband John DiGiacinto. On the other hand, I own jointly with John two residential properties in town; one is my home and the other is his. This is no different than over 4,000 home owners in this town and likely no different than you. This self- proclaimed "Informed Citizens" group has misled the public through their email, and you as a taxpayer deserve better than that. You just deserve the Truth. Unfortunately, that has become hard to come by lately in our Town of North Castle.
Conflicts of Interest are a serious matter and should not be taken lightly. Let me present three actual incidents participated in by one of my opponents in the upcoming Republican primary, Diane Roth.
Brynwood: Diane Roth accepted a $1,500 campaign contribution from the owners of this controversial development approximately four years ago. Just in the last few months (and four years later!), when this fact was discovered, she returned the money to the developer...after that election...in which she used the money to help herself get elected. You decide if this is acceptable behavior for an elected official in this Town.
Old Mount Kisco Road Subdivision Development: Just in the last few months, it was discovered that this developer's family contributed approximately $1,000 to her campaign account. After this truth was revealed, Diane Roth recused herself from the application; therefore, she could not vote on this important zoning change. You decide if this is acceptable behavior for an elected official in this Town.
Chabbad Application on Main Street: Just in the last few months, Diane Roth had to recuse herself because she is a commercial real estate broker and could personally stand to benefit from this new tenant leasing the space. You decide if this is acceptable behavior for an elected official in this Town.
I have resided in North Castle for almost my entire life and care deeply for its future. I am running because I want to restore dignity, honesty, objectivity, and transparency to our Town Board.
With warm regards,
Barbara DiGiacinto
