THE COUNTDOWN IS ON: Only 12 days until EagleFest! Eagle sightings are flying in! 1/23: A mixture of adult and immature bald eagles were spotted perched and flying at Croton Boat Ramp, 12:00pm. 1/16: Croton Boat Ramp, 9:30- 11:00am. 6 eagles were spotted. At least two were adults, the rest sub-adults. A fish crow, a bufflehead and ruddy ducks were also spotted. Conditions: A light wind coming from the North, temperature 34 degrees. 1/11: 27 eagles seen at Croton Point Park. 1/9: 17 eagles spotted on ice in Croton Bay. 1/8: 10 eagles sighted at Peekskill Bay. 1/7: Seen from a 10:50 train from Croton-Harmon to Grand Central; 6 immature bald eagles on ice in Croton Bay. 4 immature, 3 adults (2 in air above group) on ice between Tarrytown and Scarborough. 13 total spotted.
