Teatown Area Photographs by
Berl Brechner

Berl Brechner, an area resident for over 35 years, presents 30 scenes from nearby that he has captured, most of them from trails, nooks
and crannies of Teatown Lake Reservation. Much of the exhibit
has been created with a relatively simple digital camera, with special attention to form and light.

All photographs are for sale, and all proceeds will be donated to Teatown Lake Reservation.

Forest Food Chains
Saturday, November 9, 1:00- 2:30pm
Ever wonder what happens to the many small mammals in the forest? Many of them become food for something else! We will investigate the contents of owl pellets to see the connection between predator and prey. Program is suitable for those 6 years and older. Free for members, $5 for non-members.
Got Worms?!
Sunday, November 10, 1:00- 2:30pm
It's a very busy world under the leaf littler and some of that energy can be harnessed for home composting. We'll discover the difference between various types of worms and make a worm bin to take home. Great for families! Free for members, $5 for non-members. Additional material fee: $8/bin.

New York Turtle Rehabilitation Meeting
Saturday, November 16, 10:00am- 5:00pm
Join us as we exchange ideas and learn techniques for rehabilitation of chelonian wildlife. There is a growing community of people in our region who rehabilitate injured native turtles. We seek to provide chelonian specific training, share solutions for dealing with common injuries, and provide a forum for the exchange of ideas, field observations, and new directions from a variety of perspectives. This meeting is open to conservationists, field biologists, citizen scientists, licensed wildlife rehabilitators, and professionals actively working in turtle conservation. Sponsored by the Southern New York Turtle Conservation Forum.

Space is limited- RSVP to Patricia S. Johnson. turtleadvocate@gmail.com.
